Categories of Membership

APPA membership is defined by the following categories:

Category Criteria Annual Fee (inc. GST)*

Supplier 

An agent, importer or manufacturer that sells promotional products and/or product decorating services to distributors (at wholesale pricing) and/or end users.

AU$790.00 / NZ$718.00

Distributor

A corporation, firm or sole trader that purchases promotional products and/or product decorating services from suppliers and sells them to end-users.

AU$790.00 / NZ$718.00

Decorator 

Trades only in the decoration of promotional products that are supplied to them.

AU$790.00 / NZ$718.00

Dual

Satisfies the criteria for more than one of the above membership categories.

AU$1,155.00 / NZ$1,050.00

Multi-Office

Businesses in the above categories trading across multiple sites. The base multi-office fee includes a head office and two other locations. Additonal sites charged at $100 each, to a cap of $1,625.00.

*A once only joining fee of $180.00 (including GST) applies to all new members, payable on approval of your application. Members joining part way through the membership year (anniversary date 1 March) have their initial membership fee calculated pro rata for the remainder of the current year.


 

Before You Begin Your Application

In addition to general company information, you will need to prepare the following in order to apply for APPA membership:

  1. Two emails/letters from current financial APPA members endorsing your membership.
    Please note: This endorsement must be from an existing financial APPA member with whom you have a business relationship. If applying for a Supplier membership, the two referees must be from Distributor members, and if applying for a Distributor membership, the two referees must be from Supplier members. If you are unsure if a company is an APPA member, please use the APPA Member Directory or contact us to confirm.
  2. A 250 word (maximum) company profile, including a high resolution company logo. 
  3. Confirm to agree to uphold the APPA Code of Conduct which will include undertaking our online code of conduct training course and passing the assessment before your membership is officially approved.  

Internationally based applicants also need a reference as to their good standing from a promotional products membership association of which they are current members.
