Philip Monastra, APPA Life Member and stalwart of the New Zealand promotional products industry, died peacefully at Waipuna Hospice, Tauranga on October 31st 2022, aged 72.
Phil was universally beloved as an honest, genuine person and was also a highly respected member of the promotional products industry. He was best known as the founder of Imprint Marketing, which he proudly started in 1987. Based in Tauranga, Phil grew the business to be a major player in the local promotional products industry, employing as many as 20 staff members at the height of his success.
Phil joined Tuapeka Gold Print in 2012 as the Sales Manager, charged with connecting with distributors throughout New Zealand. Phil had supported Tuapeka as a loyal distributor in the early days and his loyalty never faltered. He will be remembered by his Tuapeka colleagues as an incredibly dedicated, knowledgeable team member.
Phil was made an APPA Life Member shortly before retiring, a worthy acknowledging of his life long contribution to the industry.
Never one to sit still for long, it did not take long for Phil to abandon retirement in favour of establishing a brand new distributor business, 20/20 Promotional Marketing.
Phil was a man of unmatched integrity who played a key role in shaping the industry he knew and loved. He will be missed dearly.
